Our mission is to promote the advancement of responsible and dynamic education and personal responsibility by honoring middle school students who have demonstrated personal initiative by setting and accomplishing goals in spite of personal challenges and setbacks. Additionally, the MESE Foundation recognizes teachers who have demonstrated extraordinary efforts and accomplishments in the fostering of self reliance and personal empowerment of their students. In essence, both students and teachers are those whose daily choices and accomplishments best exemplify the philosophy of Mary Elizabeth Schenck.
